MySensors sensor networks and PCB design

A two-part project, built in collaboration with Antonio Membrive Martínez.
The first part sets up Home Assistant and a MySensors gateway on a dedicated board, and builds two Arduino sensor nodes: the first focuses on the basic integration of the MySensors protocol with Home Assistant, and the second adds battery-level reporting and signing to verify the authenticity of messages between node and gateway.
The second part designs a custom printed circuit board in KiCad for one of those nodes: schematic, layout, Gerber generation and manufacturer verification, with a final hardware check both by trace continuity and by re-integrating the board into Home Assistant.
